With recurring incidents of theft in Greater Noida, residents, especially of posh sectors, are a worried lot.
Thieves broke into the house of a journalist in Sector Alpha 2 on Sunday and burgled the house. Manish Tiwari, a journalist with Dainik Jagran, was in Allahabad when the incident took place in House No H 288.
Sachin Sharma, a tenant on the second floor of the building, informed the police of the incident. He told City Spidey, “I called up the police when I returned from work in the afternoon and noticed the broken window and things strewn around.”
The journalist was informed of the theft over phone. According to the police, the value of the stolen goods can only be ascertained when Tiwari returns.
Dhananjay Mishra, officer in charge of Kasna police station, said, “Investigation is under way. We are sure the thieves will be nabbed soon."
