Dwarka Sector 6, Pocket 1: Watch the new RWA change the face of these DDA flats

The newly elected RWA of Dwarka Sector 6, Pocket 1 DDA flats has marked issues related to water and power supply, security, and maintenance of parks and internal roads as its priorities. It asserted that development and maintenance of the society will be its primary focus.

On May 8, CB Kapri was elected as the president, Gurdeep Singh Sethi the general secretary and Bharat Chaudhari the vice-president of the RWA. IR Khullar became the treasurer, Sunil Sharma the joint secretary, and Sanjay Kumar and Sresh Kumar the body's executive members.

Speaking about the new team's agenda, Sethi, the new general secretary, said, “The neighbourhood faces an acute shortage of water in summer. We will be in constant touch with the Delhi Jal Board to resolve the issue. Besides, we want streetlights replaced with LED bulbs. We will pursue the matter with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the local MLA.”

Apart from focussing on the repair of internal roads, the RWA aims at ensuring a foolproof security system for residents. Sethi said they were planning to instal an automatic electronic barrier or a gate at the colony entrance that would open only on proper verification.
