Each one teach one goes the precept. But when the taught start teaching, they take the rule to a whole new level.

Some children of PNB Apartment, Sector 4, have organised a summer camp where they teach younger kids in their society dance, Yoga, art and craft.

Payashwani, Nandika, Naina and Dheiya are the children who are conducting the camp in the lawn of the society. Children up to 10 years of age can be seen participating in the camp from 7.30 am to 10.30 am.

With children having taken such a noble step, how can the parents stay far behind? They also take out time from their busy schedule to be present at the camp.

STARTING EARLY: Children perform Yoga at the summer camp.

Geeta Upadhyaya, mother of Dheiya and Payashwani, said, “My daughters and couple of other girls in the society one day decided to do something in the summer vacation. They asked me to teach tiny tots in the society. I encouraged them as they wanted to do something for the community. I spoke to some other parents too and the camp started. There are 15 children participating in the camp.”

Everyday these children prepare the topics and then teach. “Teaching and its preparation is a great experience for them. They enjoy the classes a lot and are always enthusiastic about every exercise,” said Upadhyaya.

Sharing her experience, Dheiya, a student of class 7, said, “For me, this is part of learning too. I teach kids dance and art. And in a way, I learn too. Before going to teach, I prepare for my class and do the home work. This gives me confidence. I am enjoying this camp with my friends.”

Here are a few pictures from the summer camp.
