The Appu Ghar has all that you want to see, and experience, in adventure tourism. On offer here is a water park where you can have a sea beach experiences including high-tide free fall.
On an average the adventure park records 6,000 footfalls every day.
Sameer Malik, a resident of Uniworld Garden-II located on Sohna Road, had planned to go to Manali for summer vacation. But since his parents refused permission to take up the journey, he opted for Appu Ghar for one-day outing.
Having spent time at the holiday destination nearer home, he and his brother don’t miss Manali. Their parents are also happy that they can spend their time in their company.
His brother, Rohit, said, “Though artificial, Appu Ghar, which is also known as Oyster Beach, has many elements that give a cool experience of a natural beach in a landlocked city.”
Saurabh Kumar, general manager of Oyster Beach, said: “We offer complete holiday package to our visitors, including 92-foot water free fall, rotating fall apart from water joy rides for all age groups.”
“Apart from this,” he added, “a major attraction for guests is a new high tide restaurant and bar. The restaurant, in the middle of two beaches, is a foodie’s delight. It offers all sorts of cuisines, cocktail, mock tail and a 360-degree viewing experience.”
The officials of Oyster Beach have also decided to hold a musical event every weekend. A glimpse of musical show was on display on Monday with a striking performance by MTV Splitsvilla-5 winner, DJ Akanksha Popli, which created an electrifying atmosphere and made the crowd go simply mad.
