Did she commit suicide? Or was she murdered?

Parents allege Galgotia College student's death is a case of murder, and refuse to cremate body until a murder case is registered.

Did she commit suicide? Or was she murdered?

Parents of Ritu Yadav, the B.Tech student who had allegedly committed suicide in NRI City, Greater Noida, on April 20, have refused to cremate her body until a case of murder is registered.

Bishambhar Yadav, the father of the deceased, said, “This is a clear-cut case of murder and my daughter did not commit suicide. There were injury marks on her body, probably due to assault, and this was neglected by the police in their investigation.” He reasoned that why did his daughter commit suicide one day after being beaten and berated by her roommates. “Suicide is a spontaneous and instant reaction by a person, and one does not brood over it or commit suicide after one day.”

Meanwhile, Abhishek Yadav, Superintendent of Police, Greater Noida, told City Spidey, “The case is still being investigated. The family members of the girl have levelled certain allegations against the roommates of the girl and we are waiting for the family members to come forward with some new leads or evidence in the case.”

Ritu Yadav (20) had allegedly jumped from the 17th floor of her building and committed suicide. A suicide note was also recovered in which she had allegedly blamed her four roommates for her death. After the post-mortem of the body, the roommates were booked on charges of abetment to suicide and were sent to jail. Yadav was a first year student of Galgotia College and her family stays in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh. The family is preserving her body with chemicals.
