New RWA for Mayur Vihar Pocket 4

Residents of Pocket 4, Mayur Vihar Phase 1, have got a new governing body for their RWA headed by Pawan Salwan as its president. The RWA was elected in a recently conducted polls.

Other office bearers of the governing body are: Rajendra Dutta, vice-president; Avnesh Mane, second vice-president; RN Sethi, general secretary; Rajesh Arora, additional secretary; Godavari Subramanian, joint secretary; NK Bhargav, Treasurer.

More than 4,000 residents living in 970 flats of the pocket elect the governing body of their RWA after every two years.

Acknowledging the support of the residents, the newly elected body promised to work on the agenda of development. They sought cooperation and participation of the residents in the development of their society.

Listing the priorities of his team, president-elect Pawan Salwan told City Spidey, “My special focus will be on security. Cases of theft and eve-teasing have surfaced in the area in the recent past. We will endeavour to ensure fool-proof security for the pocket.”

He blamed antisocial elements from the nearby Trilokpuri colony for deterioration of law and order situation. These intruders, he said enter Neighbourhood Park and create nuisance. Regretting that local police failed to act on the complaint of the RWA, he asserted, “As a president of the RWA it is my responsibility to ensure security of the residents.”

Besides, sanitation, water conservation and cordial relations among residents, he said would be his other priorities.
