Shipra Krishna Vista's summer of fun

With a series of summer workshops for the kids of the Indirapuram society, the holidays couldn’t get any busier.

Shipra Krishna Vista's summer of fun

It’s a riot at the Shipra Krishna Vista society clubhouse in Indirapuram. Groups of excited children rush in and out of the club; glitter packets, bottles of Fevicol, colourful charts lie helter-skelter and there are corners of absolute chaos. With the Vista Sum Fun 2016, you can’t expect otherwise.

Organised by the Apartments Owners’ Association, the summer carnival kick-started with a face-painting competition on May 27. It was followed by a street-play workshop, a quiz, a movie show, and workshops on fireless cooking and crafts.

There are skills to be picked up too. Workshops will be organized on articulation, virtual communication and public speaking, grammar and mental maths. A poster-making competition will be organised on Sunday, celebrating the World Environment Day. The summer fiesta will conclude on June 7 with word games.

The association also intends to hold 'Vista Haat' on Sunday, an exhibition of the crafts and other items prepared by the participants of the workshops. The residents also pitched in. Poonam Jalan, Priya Bhist and Manju Gupta were among the few who helped with the organising of the summer camp.

The stationery, snacks and refreshments have been provided by the association and no entry or registration fees have been charged. Deepak Sethi, the general secretary of the association, feels such workshops are required to improve team skills, productivity, and a sense of unity among the kids.
