Regular power cuts and voltage fluctuations have become a headache for residents of this Noida Sector 74 society.

Back to the dark age in Supertech Capetown

Residents of Supertech Capetown in Sector 74, Noida, are tired of regular power cuts in the society. Supply gets disrupted at least 10 to 12 times a day.

Sanjeev Sharma, a resident of the society, told City Spidey, that the current 900 KW electricity supply, is insufficient for the society. "This is the situation when only 750 of the total 1,100 households have moved in. You can imagine what will happen when all the flats are occupied," said Sharma.

Krishan Kumar, another resident of Supertech Capetown, said, that it was especially risky as the elevators stop midway. "Once you are stuck, it takes at least 10 minutes to get going. What good is full power backup if the DG takes 10 minutes to start," added Kumar.

Then there is the additional problem of voltage fluctuations.

"Our electronic gadgets are bearing the brunt of the voltage fluctuations," added Sharma. "Electrical appliances such as ACs and refrigerators are getting damaged in every other household," added Sharma.

When City Spidey took up the issue with SK Chaudhary, vice-president (Civil) of Supertech Capetown, he assured that the problem would be resolved within a few days.
