Members of Federation of Association of Apartment Owners, Ghaziabad, headed by Alok Kumar, met Vijay Kumar Yadav, vice-chairman of Ghaziabad Development Authority, and discussed the state of the drainage system and garbage disposal in Indirapuram on Saturday.

Residents also expressed dissatisfaction with the Florida Facility Management, the consultant employed by the GDA to maintain the drainage system of Indirapuram.

Speaking to City Spidey, Kumar said, “Most of the drains around the residential societies in Indirapuram are clogged.” He also expressed concern about the forthcoming rainy season and said that cleaning of drains would be difficult once it starts raining.

Yadav assured the residents of immediate action, and said that the GDA will conduct meetings and solve the problem in a planned way. He also directed his officials to look into the matter immediately.

When City Spidey spoke to SC Dwivedi, chief engineer of GDA, he said, “I have taken note of the problem and it will be solved soon. The drainage system of Indirapuram will be cleaned as soon as possible."
