Residents of Sector 56 are furious. The internal sector road meant for their use has become a regular thoroughfare for traffic between Delhi and Noida, causing congestion and noise pollution.
To avoid traffic snarls at the 12/22 intersection, commuters enter through Gate Number 1 of the Sector and exit using Gate Number 2.
"We approached both Noida Authority and Noida Police with the problem. Mohd. Ishrat (Project Engineer, Noida Authority) and Dr Anoop Kumar (Circle Officer, Noida Police) personally inspected the neighbourhood over a month ago. No action has been taken so far,” says JN Seth, President, RWA Sector 56.
“When security guards try to stop the outsiders, they either don’t listen or quarrel," a clearly exasperated Seth added.
