New education policy will be game-changer for India: Union HRD Minister

Union Minister for Human Resources Development Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said a new education policy will establish the glory of India in the world.  

The minister was speaking at the Swachh Campus Ranking, 2019, event for higher educational institutions at All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on Tuesday. On the occasion, secretary, higher education, R Subramanian, hinted that the new national education policy would be in the public domain soon. 

Pokhriyal asked the students to take a pledge for saving one litre of water each day. He even made an appeal to them to encourage their near and dear ones to do the same. 

This was the third Swachhata Ranking, 2019, in which around 7,000 higher education institutions participated. Out of the total institutions, 52 were given awards in categories like clean and smart campus, one student one tree, Jal Shakti Abhiyan and Solar Urja Lamp
