There are many such trees in the sub-city alongside the roads inclining dangerously towards the traffic. Some of these being overlapping have sneaked into the master plan road covering about six to seven feet area.
Some of the trees are seen precariously stooping towards the road inviting trouble for the commuters.
The photographs I have taken of several such trees are self-explanatory about the threat they pose.
What if any of the trees fall on some unassuming pedestrian? What if a motorist ram into one of them inadvertently? Such questions must be haunting whoever passed by them.
Weakened at the base by the parasitical attack, the trees can fall anytime. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) or any other concerned agency should take up the matter on priority and find a solution to the problem arising from the uneven growth of the trees. The trees that are dead and posing risk to commuters must be removed.
