The neighbourhood park in Sector 120 that faces Prateek Laurel and Amrapali Zodiac societies is set to have a greener look soon.

Noida Authority on Saturday launched a massive tree-planting drive and planted as many as 800 saplings at the park.

The park is spread over an area of 5 acres and lacks greenery. The Authority initiated the planting drive to help foster greenery in the area.

Rajesh Prakash, ACEO, Noida Authority, said, “I will take personal interest to develop the park as one of the best parks in Noida. This park has enough space for an open-air gym.”

Residents of Prateek Laurel also raised their concerns with the ACEO. Sandeep Singh, a resident, said, “Steps must be taken to protect these saplings from stray animals. They cause heavy damaged to these trees.”

Om Vir Singh, director of horticulture, Noida Authority, residents and children from both the aforementioned societies were present at the event.
