Gurugram police issues traffic advisory ahead of Republic Day

Gurugram: Ahead of the Republic Day celebrations in the National Capital, the Gurugram Traffic Police on Wednesday issued a traffic advisory restricting the movement of heavy commercial and goods transport vehicles coming to Delhi from Saturday night till Sunday afternoon.

The advisory stated that heavy vehicles coming from Jaipur side on NH-48 will be diverted at Panchgaon on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway.

Similarly, heavy vehicles within the city limit will be diverted to alternate routes at various points such as Givo cut Kherki Daula Toll, Shankar Chowk, Dhankot T point, Garhi Harsaru Chowk and Bhajghera border.

"All the good transport operators are requested to plan their trip accordingly so that no inconvenience is caused to commuters. The traffic police personnel will be on the ground in order to ensure the smooth traffic flow," stated the traffic advisory.

Notably, heavy commercial vehicles and goods transport vehicles are prohibited from entering Delhi starting 10 pm on Wednesday until 1.30 pm on Thursday due to the Republic Day dress rehearsal.
