New Delhi: He is just eight-year-old. But his achievements are enough to surprise established singers. With lots of accolades and innumerable awards, he has carved a niche for himself in the world of music, all because of his vocal cords. His is an ultimate voice.

CitySpidey had an opportunity to interact with the child prodigy, a truly singing sensation.

A student of class III at Amity schools in Sector 44, Noida, Jayas lives at Navkala Apartments in IP extension. He is known all over the country by the sobriquet he earned, Little Champ for his singing talent.

When we entered his apartment, Jayas was busy in his riyaaz (singing rehearsal), His mother spoke to us about his hidden quality. He is a child of mirror image, which means all vital organs of his body are placed right side. For example unlike people, in general, he has his heart on the right side. Likewise his kidneys and pancreas.

His mother Suruchi said he was all of two years when he started playing the drum. Soon after, he got selected for an audition for ZeeTV Saregamapa Little Champ. He became part of the series for three years. He even performed in national and international shows along with his live TV appearance. He has more than two million followers, mostly children, on YouTube.

Speaking to CitySpidey Jayas called himself a bookworm. “When I get time, I spend it in reading rather than playing,” says he.

He finished the entire Harry Potter series of JK Rowling. RK Narayana and many other great writers are in his to be read list. His father works for an IT company and mother for a HR firm. Jayas' guru in classical singing is from Kolkata. He spends two to three days in Kolkata to learn classical singing every month.

He is though doing well in his singing career, his parents are focused on his in-depth knowledge of classical singing and education. "I will grow up to be an author,” he declared during our conversation.

At the end of the interview, he sang a song for CitySpidey in his sweet voice.
