Gurugram: Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri, on Wednesday, proudly announced that the Gurugram district ranked first in Haryana in the disposal of complaints received on CM windows. The district scored 83.25 points as per the formula evolved for the evaluation of each district of the state.

Similarly, he said the district secured the seventh position in the state with a score of 88 points in the redressal of complaints sent to the Chief Minister through social media like Facebook and Twitter etc.

The Gurugram DC  made this disclosure in a meeting with nominated members of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee at the PWD Rest House of Gurugram.

Speaking on the occasion, he made an appeal to the members to bring common problems involving majority of people rather than personal ones to the District Administration so that they can be disposed of quickly. He said the  of the grievances redressal committee can play a significant role in solving grievances affecting larger section of people.

Khatri told the members of the committee that there are mainly three platforms for the masses to register complaints and get their grievances redressed. These include the CM window, Social Media Grievances Tracker and the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee where their grievances are recorded and tracked in a systematic way.

This way, he said a complainant who registers a complaint on the ‘CM window’ can know its status while the higher authorities at state headquarters keep an eye on the disposal of these complaints reviewing its progress from time to time.

Apart from this, he pointed out that chief minister himself chairs the grievances redressal committee meeting so that the problems that cannot be solved at the local level district administration, namely municipal corporation, Haryana Shahri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) Administrator or Commissioner of Police, can be included in the agenda of the monthly meeting of the district grievances redressal committee. This is possible only when all members give complaints or problems faced by a group of residents, not individuals.
