Charms Castle: 12-year-old boy dies after falling from balcony

Ghaziabad: A 12-year-old boy was found dead on Friday afternoon after allegedly falling from balcony of his flat at Charms Castle, a highrise in Raj Nagar Extension, on Friday. The boy fell from 8th floor of Block A of the society.

The incident was reported at 2.40 pm. An on-duty security guard at block heard a loud thud and rushed to find its source. He found the boy lying on the ground with blood spilled all over. 

The boy was immediately rushed to Narendra Mohan Hospital in Raj Nagar Extension where the doctors declared him brought dead.

The police have identified the boy as Vaibhav Jain. The boy lived with his parents at the society. His father Sachin Jain works in a private firm in Noida. The boy studied in 7th standard of Silver Line Prestige School.

The bereaved parents of the boy refused to talk. The police are currently exploring all the angles in the case. “It will be too early to comment whether it is suicide or accident. The investigation is underway,” a police official said.

The police have sent the body for the post-mortem. The reports are awaited.
