Woman jumps on metro tracks, escapes with minor injuries

New Delhi: A 30-year-old woman had a close shave when she suddenly jumped on Metro tracks at Anand Vihar Metro station. Luckily, the alert driver of an advancing metro train applied timely brakes and saved her life. 

Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officials pulled the lady from the tracks and took her to a nearest hospital. Police is inquiring about her. 

DCP, East Vikram Porwal, said, “We received a call from the CRPF about an injured lady. We admitted her to the nearest hospital. Whether she accidentally fell or intentionally jumped on the tracks is still a mystery. We couldn't find any official ID from her bag.”

The woman received injuries on her head. Police is investigating the matter.
