EDMC carries out cleanliness drive in Budh Park following complaint by residents

New Delhi: The East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) carried out a special cleanliness drive in Budh Park area after a complaint regarding stagnant water and garbage was lodged at the grievance cell of the corporation. 

A team of  sanitary workers reached the Budh Bazaar Park early in the morning and picked up the garbage. They sprinkled water to settle the dust. The workers also chopped shrubs and branches of trees. 

Chairman of EDMC, Sandeep Kapoor, said, “Local residents of Krishna Nagar complained about the poor condition of the park. We sent a team of five sanitation workers to look at the condition. Garbage was collected, stagnant water was cleaned and anti-infective solution was sprayed. We also sent a team to repair the broken benches in the park.”
