Corona alert: Shipra Neo conducts thermal scanning of staff

Ghaziabad: The apartments owners’ association (AOA) of Shipra Neo, a high-rise in Indirapuram, conducted thermal scanning of their security and maintenance staff on Sunday. Rohit Gupta, president of the AOA said that the activity was conducted in view of the spread of COVID-19.

The residents' welfare body also distributed soaps to all the staff members with a clear instruction to use before entering society for their shift. Besides the staff enrolled on the payroll of AOA, other vendors like maids and vehicle cleaners were also screened, Gupta informed.

"We screened around 50 people including regular staff of the society. None was found suffering from the fever," he added.

Gupta also informed that screening will be done on a regular basis to keep vigil on the symptoms of the COVID-19.

Besides, a soap and water tank are kept on the gate for outsiders, Gupta further informed. "The security staff is instructed to make sure that the outsiders wash their hands before entering the society," he added.

Dr Manish, a resident of the society who works at a hospital in Delhi also shared tips of keeping precautionary measures to avoid the COVID-19 infection.

Gupta also informed that sanitisation of lifts started on a daily basis and will be continued till the corona pandemic is controlled.
