Ghaziabad residents to observe car-free day

RWA Federation, Ghaziabad, has decided to organise car-free day on February 10. Representatives of the RWA body will fan out in six different zones of the city to persuade residents to observe the day.

Speaking to City Spidey, President of the Ghaziabad RWA, Col TP Tyagi said, from 10 am to noon, volunteers of different RWAs would be distributing pamphlets and flowers to citizens to create awareness about increasing pollution level in the city.

The Federation has intimated District Magistrate, SP Traffic and the Regional Pollution Control Officer about their initiative. It has also urged the administration to declare every 10th day of the month a car free day in Ghaziabad.
