New Delhi: With a view to curb the spread of COVID-19, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) decided to suspend its services till March 31.

The decision was taken to contain the spread of the virus declared pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) by ensuring social distancing and encouraging people to stay at home for the time being.

“The Delhi Metro system will, however, continue to be powered for essential internal operational maintenance activities during this duration and security of the system will continue to be taken care of by CISF,” said DMRC in a statement.
