Greater Noida: Residents of La Residentia, a highrise in Greater Noida, celebrated the 74th Independence Day on Saturday with full zeal and passion.
Keeping in mind the Covid-19 precautions such as social distancing, face masks and minimum presence of people, the celebration was a low-key event this year.
The flag hoisting ceremony was carried out by the senior citizens of the society. Most of the kids along with their parents watched the flag hoisting ceremony from their balconies to avoid a large gathering.
Children were dressed up in tricolour traditional wears and were cheering for the country from their balconies.
Similarly, Independence Day was celebrated with a spirit of great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at Elegant Ville in Greater Noida with all the Covid-19 protocol.
The excited kids of the society decorated the podium with rangoli, tricolour balloons and flag from early morning with the help of the women group of society. The senior citizens of society hoisted the National Flag followed by the National Anthem. They were also felicitated on the occasion.
On the occasion, the young patriots put on their best performances and exhibited a sense of zeal for the nation with their songs and dance performances. Also, a quiz competition was organised for the kids.
