New Delhi: The city of Delhi is likely to expect another spell of moderate to heavy rainfall starting Wednesday. The rains are expected till Friday.
The scientists at India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the intense monsoon showers are expected in Delhi between August 26 and 28.
Light rains have already been witnessed in many parts of the city on Wednesday morning.
The IMD said that the monsoon trough is active and lying south of its normal position and is likely to remain active for the next two to three days.
It issued an ‘orange’ alert on Wednesday. An orange alert means that the disaster management authorities should be ready to avert any disaster or flooding.
In its bulletin, the IMD said that minor traffic disruptions and water accumulation in low-lying areas are likely in the city.
