Noida: A software engineer and his wife narrowly escaped from ceiling plaster fall at their flat in Supertech Capetown in Sector 74, Noida on Friday.

According to Ravinder and his wife Neelam, they were watching television when a big chunk of plaster came down in the drawing room of the flat.

They were sitting on the same sofa, on which the chunk of plaster fell. Fortunately, it fell away from where they were sitting.

They complained that Noida Authority had not paid due attention before issuing occupancy and completion certificates to the developer.

Ravinder said, “If the authority had conducted a quality check of construction materials used while constructing the building, it would not have happened. But the authority issued required certificates without proper examination. It is due to which these kinds of incidents are taking place.”
