Dwarka: Since most of the volunteers of Green Circle are senior citizens, who are at risk amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Saturday Shramdaan has not been fully revived yet. However, their absence is not a deterrent to youngsters in the team.

Vishal and Niranjan decided to revive the Shramdaan and Pavitra Peepal Project. Green Circle places on record their commitment and will support them in their efforts.

Green Circle has requested all youngsters to support these two green warriors. When told that cleaning one Peepal Tree or one park may not be a permanent solution, Vishal said, “It's a tiresome step to call SDMC or do Twitter tagging of the officials.”

Niranjan added, “We can definitely do our part. The mental satisfaction from this work is abundant. We know that it is a small step, but only small drops make the ocean.”

Vishal lamented, “Sometime back, the Peepal Tree cleanliness issue was taken up with the SDMC . It was duly cleaned by them. However, again people started dumping plastic bags and Puja materials.”

Green Circle had started the Saturday Shramdaan three years ago. Due to Covid-19, it didn’t continue. However, we want to revive the project at the earliest since most of the parks, Peepal trees and public places are dirty.
