Noida: The Gautam Budh Nagar administration on Tuesday ordered all the schools not to increase fees in the 2021-22 academic session. It was ordered to the schools to also refrain from insisting on quarterly payment from parents.

The administration has taken the decision in an internal meeting of the district fee regulation committee (DFRC) under the chairmanship of District Magistrate (DM) of Gautam Budh Nagar.

“The committee has reviewed the pandemic situation and unanimously decided that in the academic year 2021-22, no fee increment shall be permitted and all the schools have been asked to charge the prevailing fee of 2020-21, which is no more than the fees of the 2019-2020 session,” read the order.

“This is pertinent to inform all stakeholders that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the National Disaster Management Act, 2005, is still in force. The schools are also instructed to charge fees in a monthly manner and not in a quarterly manner,” the order stated.
