Residents of Jalvayu Vihar, (Sectors 21 and 25) Noida, celebrated the 70th Independence Day in the society's community hall. Residents gathered for the flag-hoisting ceremony at 9 am on Monday.
The community centre was decked up with small flags and tricolour balloons.
Narendra Mahajan, a resident of Jalvayu Vihar, paid homage to freedom fighters and spoke about their sacrifices to achieve the hard-earned freedom.
