New Delhi: The view of Delhi Gate crossing is not the same anymore. You won’t see bikers jumping signals and cars cutting lanes there now.
In order to make Delhi Gate Crossing safer and more secure, Delhi Traffic Police has taken help of World Resources Institute to start a trial of one month to modify the infrastructure on a temporary basis.
These modifications will be made permanent later if found effective. For now, barricades and cones are being used to change the movement and flow of traffic.
Empty spaces are being restricted through bollards and are changed into colourful waiting areas for pedestrians so that the traffic moves in limited areas only.
