NDMC introduces helpline number for tele counselling

New Delhi: The North Delhi Municipal Corporation introduced a helpline number on Sunday to activate a 24-hour tele-counselling services for Covid patients and their attendants. The helpline number is 18002008701.

According to the Mayor Jai Prakash, the services will help a great deal to those in home isolation and their family members who have been suffering mental stress. He said, “The existing Covid situation is affecting people mentally which is adding further to their problems. This helpline will help people deal with stress and trauma and guide them to the right line of treatment either in the Allopathic or Ayurvedic system of treatment and medicine.”

The consultation will be provided by senior faculty members of Hindu Rao Medical College. In order to connect with a doctor, one needs to dial the helpline number and then press number 4.

North Corporation Commissioner Sanjay Goel said, “Their rich experience and knowledge would help in treating the patients and their family members of the corona and mental trauma of the disease.”

According to NDMC officers, through this helpline number, citizens can get information related to Covid testing centre, vaccination centre, hospitals, Covid care centres, isolation centres, lifting of bio medical waste, etc.
