Sector 52 is all set to go to polls on February 21, 2016, to elect its RWA. Residents will cast their vote to elect a 15-member executive body after 24 months.
The electoral process was set in motion at the annual general body meeting where Justice (retired) BM Gupta and UK Bhardwaj were appointed election officers.
“We've distributed nomination forms among the aspiring candidates. They will have to return the duly filled forms by tomorrow (Feb. 9). Contestants will be announced after scrutinising the details,” said Justice Gupta.
The sector has five blocks in all. Residents will elect three members from each block. These elected members will, in turn, elect a president, a secretary and a treasurer for the fresh executive body.
