Ghaziabad's first 'car-free day' remained a symbolic affair with car drivers either unaware of the initiative or reluctant to give up the comfort of their four wheelers, even as RWA representatives tried their best to persuade them to leave their vehicles at home for just two hours and use public transport.

RIDING AGAINST THE STORM: (from left) RWA Fed Chairman TP Tyagi, CO (Traffic) and SP (Traffic), Ghaziabad, supported the RWA initiative by riding bicycles.
