GreNo authority removes encroachment from seven acres of land

Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Authority has taken action against the encraochments on notified land in Shahberi. The Authority demolished structures from seven acres of encroached land on Thursday, 17 February 2022. Greater Noida Authority is also preparing to take legal action against the encroachers.

After getting the information, Greater Noida Authority reached the spot and inspected the area for three hours. KR Verma, DGM of Greater Noida Authority says, “Colonizers were trying to cut illegal colonies on the land of more than seven acres of Khasra numbers 318, 319 and 320 of Shahberi.”

He adds, “As soon as we received information, the senior manager of work circle Brahm Singh, manager Prabhat Shankar and assistant manager Rakesh Kumar along with authority and police reached the spot.”

After taking action for about three hours, the land was vacated. Greater Noida Authority CEO Narendra Bhushan has warned that land grabbers in the notified areas of the authority will not be spared.

Narendra Bhushan has also instructed every work circle to keep an eye on the land in their area to prevent encroachment and inform authorities at the earliest if they come across such instances.
Shahberi has often been the land of illegal constructions and rampant sale of illegal properties. In 2018, two such buildings had collapsed bringing illegal activities to the fore.
