Still, it weathered the storm and became the top-grossing film of 2020 and the first non-Baahubali hit.

Pushpa: The Rise

Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun) works as a labourer in the illegal red sandalwood trade in Tirupati's rich forests. Soon he infiltrates the red sandalwood crime syndicate with the ultimate aim to become its kingpin. After a series of gravity and logic-defying stunts, fights and dance moves and a fighting attitude he succeeds in his mission. In the process, he also wins the heart of a vivacious village damsel Srivalli.
In such a scenario, Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fazil Fahad), the district's police superintendent, came to the district. Bhanwar Singh plots to teach Pushpa a humbling life lesson but Pushpa soon turns the table on him, leaving Bhawar Singh fuming and plotting revenge.
