DLF Mall of India's management has earmarked a parking zone for women drivers this Diwali. The reserved parking space, which is an initiative for women's safety during the rush of the festive season, has been dubbed the "pink zone".

This is located near the elevator and can accommodate 55 cars.

"We came up with the pink zone, as a few cases of misbehaviour towards women in parking lots had come to our notice," said Pushpa Victor, executive vice-president of the mall. "We intend to make women feel safe coming to this mall, despite the rush."

Deepika Mittal, a resident of Sector 92, has lauded the mall's initiative. "I found it really tough to park my car earlier," said Mittal. "The pink zone has made it convenient for us. I didn't even have to walk too much to reach the elevator."
