Ghaziabad: Traffic guidelines for Chhath Puja

Ahead of Chhath Puja celebrations in the city, Ghaziabad traffic police has issued guidelines for commuters to avoid congestion on city roads. The diversions will be valid from 2 pm of October 6 till the morning of October 7.
 
Here are the guidelines:
 
1. Heavy vehicles won't be allowed to move from Meerut Tiraha towards Mohan Nagar. They will have to go via Raj Nagar Extension intersection towards Raj Nagar Extension-Kharera Bridge and then towards Sesh Nag Dwar.
 
2. The Hindon Canal Road in Indirapuram will be closed for all vehicles. Commuters will have to take the routes either from Mohan Nagar intersection or NH 24.
 
3. Heavy vehicles from the direction of ITS College on the Kharera turning won't be able to move towards the Haj House near Hindon bridge. The vehicles will have to take the route from Kharera Bridge towards Raj Nagar Extension.
 
4. The new Hindon Bridge near the Hindon Police outpost on NH 91 will be reserved for Chhath devotees only. Movement of all kinds of vehicles on the bridge will the suspended.
