Mona Lisa by Leanardo da Vinci, easily the most identifiable and talked about painting in the world, is in the news for the wrong reasons. In a bizarre, yet true news that came in from Paris, a man disguised as an old lady tried to vandalise the iconic Mona Lisa painting on display at the Louvre. The man is suspected to be an environmental activist.
Reportedly, the man entered the museum disguised as an old woman in a wheelchair. Once inside, he jumped out of his wheelchair and threw a cake at the iconic painting. However, the cake just smashed on the protective glass of the painting, thus, no damage has been done to our beloved Mona Lisa.
The security was quick to take action and tackled the man. However, as per a video shared on twitter by a person, the man can be seen spreading the cake on the painting even after the security guards interfered.
People at the museum took to twitter to share the videos of the incident.
Maybe this is just nuts to me?but an man dressed as an old lady jumps out of a wheel chair and attempted to smash the bullet proof glass of the Mona Lisa. Then proceeds to smear cake on the glass, and throws roses everywhere all before being tackled by security. ???? pic.twitter.com/OFXdx9eWcM

In another video, as the security was escorting the man out, he reportedly said in French, “Think of the earth, artists think of the earth. All artists think of the earth. That’s why I did it. Think of the earth.”
