21-year-old Sini Shetty of Karnataka was crowned Miss India World 2022 at the Miss India grand finale on June 3, 2022, at Jio World Centre in Mumbai. Moreover, Rubal Shekhawat of Rajasthan took the first runner-up place and Shinata Chauhan of Uttar Pradesh was named Miss India 2022 second runner-up.
The miss Indian crown holder has a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance and is now following Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) as a professional course. She is also a Bharatanatyam dancer. Post winning the miss Femina title, Shini will be representing India in the Miss World 2022.
Meanwhile, we also saw Bollywood celebrities like Maliaka and Kriti Sanon on the Red carpet, wooing everybody with their killer looks. The grand evening was hosted by none other than Manish Paul. On the Jury panel, we saw Neha Dhupia, Dino Morea and Malaika Arora, designers Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, choreographer Shiamak Davar, and former cricketer Mithali Raj as jury members.
The stunning 30 state winners of Femina Miss India 2022 were unveiled earlier that evening, dressed in designer Abhishek Sharma's resort wear collection, inspired by the beauty of Mountain Moths. Each ensemble was meticulously crafted with various flowy drapes and put together by hand. The collection included fabrics of bright colours and textures which perfectly represented the vivacious personalities of all the contestants.
