Delhi Covid cases cross 2000 mark with 5 Covid deaths

As the public becomes complacent, Covid figures pose a concern. After six-month, 2,073 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Delhi on August 3, 2022, according to the daily advisory released by the Health Department of the Delhi government. Five deaths have also been reported. According to government data, the positivity rate is currently 11.64 %, which is the highest since January 24, 2022.

There are presently 5,637 active cases in Delhi, up over 5,006 the previous day. Up to 3214 Covid patients are being isolated in their homes. With the new diagnosis on August 3, 2022, the total tally of Covid cases and fatalities in the national capital increased to 19,60,172, and 26,321, respectively.

Out of 9,405 beds, only 376 of the 9,405 beds are occupied in different Delhi hospitals for Covid patients as documented on August 3, 2022. According to the latest report and most of the beds at Covid care and health centres are vacant.
