The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has decided to up the security of residential sectors in Manesar, Gurgaon district, by building walls and fences around them.
HSIIDC will also provide security guards and CCTV cameras for the purpose.
Sudhir Rajpal, managing director of HSIIDC, said, “We will begin the tender process for construction of walls soon.”
Residents of these sectors had earlier raised the issue of security several times with the authorities due to incidents of crime.
Devendra Yadav, RWA president of Sector 1, IMT Manesar, said, “This will definitely improve the security in the sector. Our family members feel insecure when they are alone. With this decision, they will hopefully have a better sense of security.”
Shashi Yadav, general secretary of the sector, said, “This decision was important. We have been raising the issue with the government for a long time now.”
