New Delhi: To maintain law and order, control the crime and provide a better environment to the residents, Dwarka police recently carried out a special drive against public drinking in various places of the district.
M. Harsha Vardhan, Dy Commissioner of Police, Dwarka, said that a drive against public drinking was carried out in various places of Dwarka district on 17th of December to maintain law and order in the district.
“Motive was to control the crime and provide a better environment to the residents. Teams were constituted under the supervision of concerned SHOs and overall supervision of ACP Dwarka district. At least 153 persons, who drank in public places, were apprehended by the police under 40A Excise Act,” he added.
