Following a social media campaign called 'No House, No Vote', the Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association or NEFOWA, on January 15 reached out to farmers, seeking their support against builders who had delayed possession in Greter Noida West.

Homebuyers urged Manvir Bhari, leader of Kisan Sanghar Samiti, Greater Noida West, and several leaders from Bisrakh, a local village to boycott the assembly election as neither the government nor the political parties had done anything against delays in possession of flats. Extending his support, Bhati said the farmers were with the homebuyers in this move against the government and the builders. He said the local development authority and builder had earlier looted them by paying less compensation.

“The problem has existed for years, and the state government has not taken our concerns seriously," said Abhishek Kumar, president of NEFOWA. We started 'No House, No Vote' as none of the politicians has helped us with delays in possession."
