Candlelight vigils in Dwarka for ‘I Will Go Out’

Residents of several societies in Dwarka organised candlelight vigils in their societies in support of ‘I Will Go Out,’ a movement for women’s safety that began after the Bengaluru incident on New Year’s Eve.

True Friends Apartments, Sector 6, organised the vigil on the evening of January 21. Defence Officers Apartments (Sector 4), Sahyadri Apartments (Sector 12) and Abhiyan Apartments (Sector 12) organised the vigil after midnight.

Residents, including children and the elderly, voiced support for a safe and secure Dwarka for women.

During the event, women and girls of True Friends Apartments recorded messages with the slogan “I will go out” in their phones in order to circulate them among residents.
