After City Spidey reported against the RWA of DLF Ridgewood Estate, a society in DLF Phase IV, Gurgaon, for banning the entry of pets in society parks, we were shown solid support by People For Animals, or PFA, an animal welfare organisation headed by Maneka Gandhi, an avid animal lover and Union Minister for Women and Child Development.

Amit Chaudhery of PFA, Gurgaon, told City Spidey that RWAs did not have any constitutional powers, nor the authority to pass any law banning pets from society parks. Chaudhery also said that if residents of a particular society failed to resolve the issue among themselves, PFA would intervene in accordance with the law of the land.

True to his word, PFA got back to City Spidey, enquiring whether the problem had been solved. Upon knowing that pets were now allowed in a park, it replied to City Spidey saying it was glad the issue had been resolved.

Tip of the hat to PFA for the good work!
