Noida, RG Residency: RG Giants win the Friendship Cup

In a friendly two-day cricket match organised by the residents of RG Residency, Sector 120, on February 12, team RG Giants picked up the Friendship Cup, defeating RG Swaggers by 11 runs.

Winning the toss, RG Giants opted to bat first, scoring 90 runs in 16 overs. RG Swaggers finished with a score of 79 runs.

Karan Bahl, captain of RG Giants, was handed over the trophy at a prize distribution ceremony held at the society. Manpreet Singh was announced the man of the series, who played three matches, scored 110 runs and took four wickets in the tournament.

Besides the finalists, the other two teams were RG Royal and RG Spartan.

The proud captain said, “The tournament was started by the residents from this year, and will continue it from now on. It will be organised in a more professional manner from next year, and players will be given a dress code.”
