Sushant Lok I residents will no longer have to suffer frequent power cuts. Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has agreed to provide a separate feeder for Sushant Lok I. It will also be replacing the underground cabling with an overhead one, which will ensure that power supply is uninterrupted even during rains.

"We have always had problems with the power supply," said Captain (Retired) DV Sharma, president of the society's RWA. "Our society has been plagued by problems such as frequent power cuts and low voltage. Owing to the problems, most households rely on generators, which cause a lot of pollution. DHBVN has finally decided to address our problem after numerous complaints. Let's hope the new setup ends our power woes for good."

Mahesh Kumar, a resident, said he was still apprehensive about whether DHBVN's action will be of help. "Let's see how successful the step is," said Kumar.

DHBVN SDO Kuldeep Nehra told City Spidey that the separate feeders will fix the society's problem. "We will try our best to provide uninterrupted power supply," said Nehra.
