About 80 people from across the NCR were honoured at Maxfort School in Sector 7, Dwarka, on February 17. The awards were in recognition of how these residents were working towards the development and welfare of the society in various fields.

They were honoured by Dharmaansh Foundation, a social organisation that acknowledges people's selfless efforts in shaping society in fields such as education, music, art, culture and social service.

The foundation gave them a badge of honour called the Devatwa Award. Poonam Tyagi, a social worker and a resident of Paradise Apartments, Sector 9, and Ramesh Mumukshu, an RTI activist and a resident of Ashirwad Apartments, Sector 16B, were two of the recipients. Others included social workers and volunteers of the organisations Choti Si Khushi and Sahas.
