Ridgewood Estate of DLF Phase 3, Gurgaon, is mired in yet another controversy. Hitting the headlines for not allowing to walk pets in the parks, it has now come up with a second diktat, and even more whimsical — the RWA has banned the entry of drivers in parks!

Residents are angry at such discrimination.

For the past few days, the drivers are being forced to eat food inside cars — and also spend the entire time there! Ritu Bagai, a resident, told City Spidey, “The RWA cannot discriminate like this. They can’t just ban the entry of drivers in society parks — that’s injustice! The RWA can’t just impose their decisions on us — they are behaving like dictators.”

Driver Shankar Singh, who has been working for a family for the past nine years, told City Spidey, “We have been using the society parks for many years now. Now suddenly, the guards are stopping us from entering the parks. We used to eat our lunch there. Now we have to eat our food inside cars — and spend the whole day cooped up in it.”

RWA secretary, Deepak Mathur, told City Spidey, “The RWA can’t be responsible for drivers. Where they are going to spend the day — that’s an arrangement employers have to look into. We have restricted the drivers from entering the parks owing to security reasons. We are committed to providing better facilities to residents, not drivers!”
