Residents of Prateek Stylome, a residential society in Sector 45 of Noida, feel the maintenance team of the society isn’t really doing its job. It’s been eight months since a sewer line was damaged near tower 3 of the society — but nothing has been done so far.

The damaged sewer line is causing water to collect on the surface, leading to unhygienic conditions. The area has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Residents of towers 3 and 7 are the worst affected. “The situation has taken a really serious turn. Around 30 cases of dengue and chikungunya were reported from the society earlier.”

When City Spidey contacted to Shubham Yadav, a member of the maintenance team, he said the pipe was repaired twice, but was damaged again. “This time, we are going to change the entire pipe and that would take a month,” he added.
