Concerned about the deteriorating law and order situation in Noida? Here is a mobile application that can get you police help whenever you are in need.

Aptly named Citizen Cop, the app was unveiled by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kiran S on Sunday at an event at NEA Auditorium in Sector 6.

He said residents of Noida no longer need to visit a police station every time they need help or want to lodge a non-cognisable complaint. They can just download the Citizen Cop app and lodge their complaint from wherever they are.

For women, Citizen Cop comes as a real boon. It helps them alert the police by just a shake of the handset. Since the app is connected to the police control room, cops can access the necessary details in an instant.

Sanjay Singh, Superintendent of Police (SP), Traffic, Noida; NP Singh, President of Federation of Noida Resident Welfare Association, and representatives of several RWAs were present on the occasion.

NP Singh lauded Noida Police for launching the public-safety device and said it would go a long way in ensuring security in Noida.
